What I'm focused on right now.A current snapshot — research, reading, and small side work. Updated when something material shifts.
Research
Doctoral work on SAR ship detection in Sentinel-1 imagery. Right now I'm focused on speckle-noise robustness and class-imbalance evaluation protocols — moving beyond average AP toward calibrated, deployment-friendly metrics.
Engineering
Maintaining the data pipeline (GDAL · ESA SNAP · custom Python tooling) that feeds the doctoral dataset, and small refinements to this site as a continuous editorial project.
Reading
- Recent SAR detection literature on speckle-aware loss functions.
- Multi-agent coordination papers (queueing-aware task allocation).
- Software practice — reproducibility, versioned datasets, ML lineage.
